Security Camera upgrade for Pyramid Lake High School

Using Cares act funding and Federal funding, RX3 communications completed a major upgrade for Pyramid Lake High School which is part of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe.

Project was to design and install indoor/outdoor security cameras requiring removal of existing cabling and camera systems. The new network was designed to be separate from the existing school network infrastructure. Work for the Verkada network consisted of installation of structured CAT-6A cabling, class 6 PoE switches, and single-mode home run fiber to bus depot location.

Cable routes included roof penetrations, trenches, and penetration through fire rated walls according to existing fire regulations. All cabling was tested end to end, documenting and labeling all cable drops to patch panel in MDF. The exterior cameras required designing a wireless fiber backhaul from the main campus building to the football field and the front gate. Upon completion of the installations the Verkada access controller station was installed and configured. Commissioned completed system and assisted customer orientation.

Quin Rescigno, President of RX3 Communications, Inc. said; “We have had a great relationship with PLHS and the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe for many years. We continue to work with them to help increase access to bandwidth and security for both the public high school and for agencies such as the Indian Health Services.  Our relationships with both the Federal Government, USAC and the Paiute Tribe bring together the pieces to facilitate major projects such as the Security Upgrade project”
